How to measure lights?
Measuring For Chandeliers
Dining
Your chandelier’s width should be roughly one-half to two-thirds the length of your table. Make sure it hangs about 30–36” above the table.
Entryway
Add the length and width of your room in feet—that number in inches is the approximate diameter of your chandelier. Make sure the bottom of your light hangs roughly 84” from the floor.
Measuring For Pendant Lighting
Kitchen
Pendants should sit 30–36” from the bottom of the shade to the top of your island countertop. Allow 26–30” between each pendant and 12” from your light to the edge of the island.
Dining
The bottom of your pendant should hang about 30–36” from the surface of your dining table.
Kitchen Island
For a balanced look, allow at least 12” from your chandelier to the end of your kitchen island. Your light should sit 30–36” above the countertop.
Bedroom
From the bottom of the shade, we recommend at least 60–72” to the bedroom floor and 30” to the top of the nightstand.
